The Abraxas suite of medical software solutions, which includes Abraxas EMR and Abraxas PM, are developed as ONE single software application, resulting in ONE unified and comprehensive solution for automating the entire workflow of a medical practice, including:

Abraxas EMR and Abraxas PM share ONE common Microsoft SQL database to facilitate seamless flow of scheduling, demographic, clinical and financial data.

Using ONE unified software application, as opposed to multiple software applications from one or multiple vendors, eliminates the inherent problems associated with data integration, transfer of data, duplication of data entry, multi-vendor support issues, etc.

Abraxas EMR and Abraxas PM are also available separately as needed by the medical practice.

As an ongoing commitment to keep our products at the leading edge of technology, Abraxas is now fully compatible with Windows Server 2008 reaping all the benefits of this new generation of server operating systems.

64-bit Environment allows for faster processing power. In addition, in a 64-bit environment, server memory can be significantly increased beyond prior limitations and without incurring the excessive cost of enterprise systems. Abraxas operates in a 64-bit environment allowing your practice to take advantage of these newer technologies that make more system resources available to your practice at a significantly reduced cost.

To meet current and future needs of a medical practice, Abraxas software is developed using the latest technology including:

In addition, Abraxas Medical Software uses the latest in wireless technology to create mobile accessibility. Abraxas EMR software users can use wireless pen tablets computers for wireless charting.

CCHIT Certified®

Abraxas EMR version 4.1 is a pre-market conditionally CCHIT Certified 08 amubulatory EHR product.

CCHIT Certified product certification designates that a health information technology product has been tested and has passed inspection of 100 percent of the criteria concerning:

• Functionality (ability to create and manage electronic records for all patients, as well as automating workflow in a physician’s office)
• Interoperability (ability to ex-change information with other systems such as pharmacies and laboratories)
• Security (ability to protect patients’ information)

To facilitate secure and reliable data exchange and connectivity to payors, labs, medical equipment, hospitals, pharmacies, etc., Abraxas uses the following broadly accepted software standards:
